Chapter 28

A really old friend of mine was standing there looking like a video vixen. It was like one of those "from geek to sheek" shows. She looked amazing. But i didnt catch the vapors or anything, however i was impressed. We kicked it for a few and she led me into the back part of the house. There was a couple of young dudes, and girls sitting around a table. They were just baggin some green , and playing some cards. In the corner of the kitchen, there was a dice game going on. I walked through to my mans room. We did what we did , and i was out. I never got comfortable in those types of settings. I headed back on the west side. There wasnt much going on in the hood, but it was home so i was good. There was this chic that had just moved to the hood. She was really sexy and she had these beautiful lips.There was just one thing, she was pregnant.  She was sitting out on the steps of her building. I decided to take a chance. I walked over to her and started kickin it. The ice cream man pulls up and i asked her if she wanted something. I got us some ice cream and we talked for a while. After getting to know each other for a few she asked me if i wanted to come inside. We went into her apartment and sat and started watching a movie. While the movie was going on, she leaned over and kissed me. This was no ordinary kiss. I had been kissed before, but this was one of those "I gotta call my momma" kinda kisses. Now i was impressed. Just when things started to heat up , she put the brakes on. I knew i was gonna have blue balls the next morning. She walked me to the door, and asked me to come over the next day. I told her that i would, and i left. I couldnt wait til the next day. The next day, after i did what i had to do, i went out to the hood hoping to see her. Just as i'd hoped, she was sitting outside. I pulled up and got out. She says that she had been waiting for me to show up, and that she was happy to see me. I have to admit that i was glad to see her too, but i wasnt gonna let her know that. We kicked it for a minute and then she said she wanted to go to the mall. I was like " let's go". We got there and i thought she wanted me to buy her some things, but it was exactly the opposite. She wanted to buy me something. Now i was impressed. We went to this men's suit strore and she had me fitted for this hot ass suit. She even picked out the perfect tie. After we grabbed something to eat, we went back to her crib. We put another movie in, but we didnt get thru that one either. After about ten minutes we were in her bedroom. Everything was good. We were a hand and a glove. It just felt right. The next morning, i left her sleep in the bed and went to get us some breakfast. When i got back, she was still sleeping. I woke her up and we ate. I got dressed and told her i would see her later. Before i got out of the door she asked me how old i was. I knew she was older than me, but for some dumb reason i lied to her and told her i was 25. I left and went to the block. I stayed up there for a few hours and i started thinking about her. So i decided to go see her. I knock on the door, and she visibly upset. I ask her what's wrong. She says that i lied to her, and that she found out i wasnt as old as i told her i was. She then tells me she doesnt date younger men and asks me to leave. I do what she asks and i leave. Chapter 27

We hit the Bay bridge and on to the nations capitol in no time. Once we found a hotel, we got settled, took showers, and got dressed for dinner. She knew of this nice soul food restaurant in nw DC, so we headed over there. I had a couple of drinks over dinner, and she had to drive back to the hotel. After a little rest, and a blunt i was back to normal. My homie wanted to go out and knew about a hot ass club so we went to get it in. The club was like that. As soon as we walked thru the door, there was some of the hottest chicks i've ever seen. I'm sure she noticed my wandering eye, but she didnt trip. I think i saw her checkin out some dudes anyway. Besides we are only friends anyway. So it's all good. The dj was on fire, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Then out of nowhere, bang,bang,bang. That was it. Party over. The crowd started a stampede towards the entrance. I grabbed my girl by the hand and pulled her out the side door of the vip section. We ran to the car, and once we were strapped in i took off. We stopped at this diner, and grabbed some breakfast. After we ate, we went back to the room and fell asleep. The next morning, we got up early and bounced. When we got back to Dover, i dropped her off and went home. One of my dudes had been calling me for two days, so i went to check on him. Chapter 26

Im really hurt right now. My mom-mom and i were very close. I go to check on my pop-pop, and my aunt. After a brief stop i head to my mom's house. Everyone is pretty sad. I'm no good with mourning so i stay for a few then i'm out. I get a call from one of my boys and we agree, it's time for a meeting. One of our main dudes is on lock and shyt doesnt look good for him. We meet at the spot and after a long discussion about what was going on within the circle, everyone heads in their own direction. I go to see one of my friends, whom i haven't seen in a while. She is cooking dinner and invites me to stay. I smell some ribs, so of course i accept. After we finish eating, i help her with the dishes,and off to the bedroom we go. That was a good night. I get up the next morning, shower, and bounce. She knows i'll be back in a few weeks. It's just one of those relationships. I drive thru the block just to check things out, and as i turn onto New St., an unmarked car pulls up behind me. I don't panic though. I just keep it smooth. He puts his lights on and now i have a decision to make. I'm a little dirty but i'm not going to let him search my car, so either i have to take off, or take a chance on trying to talk my way out of a search. He walks up to my window, and asks me for my paperwork. I give him my shyt and he tells me to sit tight. After about five minutes, he comes back and hands me my papers. I ask him why he pulled me over and he just says, i look like someone who escaped from work release. I know that's some BS but he tells me to have   a nice day, so i ease away from the curb. I make up my mind that i was not coming up there for the day. I decide to go out of town for the day. I call one of my homies and asked her if she wanted to take a ride. She was first of all , glad to hear from me, since it had been a while. She had heard about my man getting knocked, and about my grandmother passing and was concerned for me. When i walk into her living room the t.v. is on and it's on the channel 6 news. There is this white bronco driving down the road and the cops are in hot pursuit. We watch that for a minute and then we were out. I asked her where she wanted to go. She thought i had a plan, but i told her it was one of those spur of the moment kinda trips.
